I'm always blown away when I hear statistics about how many people in our communities cannot read, and admittedly I think, "What? How can they not know?"
Well, talents and skills only develop if given the opportunity, and many people don't have the opportunity to learn.
The ability to read benefits people in so many ways. I can't imagine how life would be without reading.
I'm grateful for parents who read to me from a young age. I'm grateful for the opportunity to go to school and to learn how to read. How important literacy is.
